Dr Dipu T S, MD is currently employed as Clinical Associate Professor at the division of Infectious Diseases, department of Internal Medicine in Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. He received his medical degree from Government Medical college, Kottayam and subsequently did MD in Internal Medicine at TD Medical college, Alappuzha . He started his career in Internal Medicine in Amrita Hospital, Kochi. He developed and followed his passion for infectious diseases from being the clinical lead for implementation of the signature antimicrobial stewardship program and therapeutics of viral diseases at Amrita Hospital. He was the part of the team which spearheaded the COVID pandemic response and received grants from ICMR and BIRAC for COVID Projects. He has been one of the clinical champions in the institutional antibiotic stewardship program and was involved in the formulation of hospital antibiotic dosage protocols. He worked and published in both Communicable diseases and Non communicable diseases, later got interested in the infectious diseases and started exclusively working in the ID field, and the related work has been published in well recognized peer reviewed international journals like PLOS ONE, MEDICINE, OPEN FORUM FOR INFECTIOUS DISEASES and INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
