Abraar Karan MD MPH DTM&H is an infectious disease fellow and post-doctoral researcher at Stanford University. His work focuses on health equity and epidemiology of pathogens in low-resource settings. He is currently the PI of a study evaluating air filtration to reduce SARS CoV 2 transmission in low-income households in Northern California. He has worked in global health since 2008, including in South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Central America. He worked on the Covid19 response for Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and is currently assisting in the Monkeypox response for Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
