Dr. Rajasingham is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota. Over the past ten years, she has worked closely with the Ugandan and American collaborative research team at the Infectious Disease Institute (IDI) in Kampala, Uganda. Her research interests include cryptococcal antigen screening, and cost-effectiveness analysis of implementation of point-of-care diagnostics to prevent AIDS-related opportunistic infections. She is the co-PI of a phase II randomized clinical trial in Uganda evaluating the safety of high dose AmBisome to prevent cryptococcal meningitis in persons with advanced HIV disease, and PI for an R01 cluster-randomized trial evaluating point-of-care diagnostics in persons with advanced HIV disease.
