Emily Mosites is an epidemiologist who serves as the Senior Advisor on Homelessness and Health to the Deputy Director for Infectious Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She is also a lieutenant commander (LCDR) in the United States Public Health Service. Her work focuses on understanding how to alleviate health risks among people experiencing homelessness in the United States. LCDR Mosites initiated and serves as co-chair of CDC’s agency-wide working group on homelessness and public health. She also leads the Corrections and Homelessness Section in CDC’s COVID-19 Response. Her background is in global health and infectious diseases. She received her MPH from Yale University and PhD from the University of Washington.
