Tisha Mitsunaga has worked in the field of Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI) since 2017, first as a Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) Applied Epidemiology Fellow at the Virginia Department of Health, and more recently as the Antimicrobial Resistance Epidemiologist, and Prevention Epidemiology Team Lead at the California Department of Public Health. Prior to her work supporting response, prevention, and evaluation of antimicrobial resistance and HAI in the United States, Tisha worked in infectious diseases more globally for close to 15 years.
