Dr. Kimberly Claeys is an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. She is currently completing a PhD in Epidemiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, with a focus on diagnostic stewardship, and is a 2022/2023 National Academy of Medicine Scholar in Diagnostic Excellence. Dr. Claeys’ research focuses on how to best use diagnostic testing to impact antimicrobial prescribing practices, the intersection between diagnostic and antimicrobial stewardship. She has published over 50 peer reviewed papers and received research support from numerous state, foundation, and national agencies.
