I am Nirja Mehta, third year adult infectious diseases fellow at Emory University. I am originally from Texas and completed medical school at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. I then moved to Georgia where I completed internal medicine residency and was able to stay for fellowship. I am interested in the intersection of the gut microbiome and human health, and hope to begin a career in academic medicine next year.
