Jeffrey Freiberg MD, PhD is currently a third-year clinical infectious diseases fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he also completed his internal medicine residency. He earned a combined MD-PhD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore with a focus on antibiotic tolerance in biofilm infections during his PhD. His current research in the laboratory of Dr. Eric Skaar focuses on understanding antibiotic tolerance in Staphylococcus aureus biofilm infections. He also has an interest in antimicrobial stewardship.
