Dr. Camille Spears MD, MPH is an Infectious Disease fellow physician at UT Health San Antonio. She completed her medical school training at the Long School of Medicine in San Antonio and internal medicine residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Her areas of interest include LGBTQ health, HIV medicine, COVID-19, and social and economic determinants of health. She founded the first free, student-run LGBTQ clinic in Texas, led a resident task force to address COVID-19 response during the early months of the pandemic in Chicago, and is currently focusing her interests on the intersecting pandemics of HIV and COVID-19 while serving as chief fellow of her ID fellowship program.
