My name is Jason Park MD and I am a house officer in the department of internal medicine at University of MIchigan Hospitals. My previous research experiences include evaluating ways to improve infection control practices in various community and healthcare settings in Zambia. As a Fogarty Global Health Research Fellow in 2018-19, I studied the impact of low cost interventions on improving infection control in rural health centers, as well as the impact of clean delivery kits on newborn mortality in the Southern Province of Zambia. My current research interests include diagnostic modalities in evaluation of complicated bacteremia and endocarditis, as well as the intersection of infectious diseases and critical care such as septic shock and ICU infections. I hope to complete my fellowship in both infectious disease and critical care medicine to merge these interests.
