Anahí Dreser is a researcher and lecturer in the Centre for Health Systems Research at the Mexican National Institute of Public Health (INSP). She is the co-leader of the research group Medicines in Public Health: Access, use, and antimicrobial resistance. Her research interests include pharmaceutical policies, antibiotic stewardship programs, medicines consumption, and quality of health care.
Anahí Dreser is a medical doctor, holds a M.Sc. in Control of Infectious Diseases, and a Ph.D. in Public Health and Policy (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK). Her doctoral investigation analyses the process of developing antibiotic policies in Mexico. Currently, she collaborates with key stakeholders in Mexico as well as with the Pan-American Health Organization in initiatives directed at improving the use of antibiotics, and containing antimicrobial resistance.
