Ms. Marina Malysheva is an epidemiologist specializing in the prevention and monitoring of vaccine-controlled infections.
Ms. Malysheva received her Bachelor's degree in public health in 2014 from the I.K.Akhunbayev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy. In 2020, she was accepted into the Central Asia Field Epidemiology Training Program supported by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Almaty, Kazakhstan. She is also a candidate for a master's degree in applied epidemiology in the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov.
She has been working at the Republican Center for Immunoprophylaxis of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic since 2022. As an epidemiologist, Ms. Malysheva has implemented measures to prevent and combat several infectious disease outbreaks, including measles and rubella. She has led training sessions and seminars for healthcare professionals, held briefings for the media, and conducted supervisory visits to regional health departments. She is also secretary of the Scientific and Technical Group of Experts in Immunoprophylaxis. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ms. Malysheva was on the team that rolled out COVID-19 vaccines nationwide.
