Dr. Rebecca Choudhury is the Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Antimicrobial Stewardship at Mount Sinai Queens hospital in Astoria, New York, and an assistant professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her infectious diseases fellowship at Montefore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, and internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She is interested in decreasing healthcare associated infections and antimicrobial resistance through the promotion of evidence-based infection control practices and judicious antibiotic use. She is also interested in educating heathcare workers and medical trainees in the principles of antimicrobial stewardship.
