Akhmedov Davron is an epidemiologist specializing in the prevention and monitoring of infectious diseases.
Mr. Akhmedov has medical degree of Epidemiologist in public health, he graduated from the Tajik State Medical University named after Abuali ibn Sino in 2003. In 2020, he was accepted into the Field Epidemiology Training Program of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the Central Asia region in Almaty, Kazakhstan and he is studying at the Master's degree program of the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov under the program “Applied Epidemiology”.
Since 2019, he has been working at the Chief of Regional Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan in Kulyab city.
Mr. Akhmedov, as an epidemiologist, implemented measures to prevent and control several outbreaks of infectious diseases, including measles, rubella, he was conducted on job trainings and seminars for health-care workers and briefings for the mass-media, also conducted monitoring visits to the cities within the districts of the region. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Akhmedov was part of the team that implemented the COVID-19 vaccine in the republic.
