My name is Jung Yeon Heo who is working at Ajou University Schoo of Medicine and Ajou University Medical Center as a professor in the field of infectious diseases. I had served in the military as a medical officer from 2011 to 2014. Respiratory illness such as Meningococcus is the major concern of various infectious diseases in Korean military, and is one of my research interests. My research interests are clinico-epidemiological studies on respiratory viral and bacterial infectious diseases including Pneumococcus, Influenza, adenovirus, RSV and SARS-CoV-2 as well as Meningococcus. Especially, vaccine related study is one of the most interesting topics. Since Augus 2022, I am working at McMaster University in Canada as a visiting professor, and participating in vaccine-related study.
