Ambreen Malik is a senior fellow in Infectious Diseases at Ascension St John Hospital, Detroit, MI. In addition to patient care, her roles include leading the team and educating the medical residents and students about different infectious diseases and their management. She is directly involved in the care of patients suffering from diverse kinds of complicated infections and wants to pursue her career in general ID. Being a trainee in a program who has won an award of excellence in antimicrobial stewardship, she emphasizes on appropriate selection of antibiotics and their duration and is determined to practice this principle in her future career.
After graduating from Quaid-e Azam Medical College, Pakistan, Ambreen Malik completed her residency in Internal Medicine from Saint Joseph Mercy Oakland, in Michigan in 2021. She is currently doing fellowship training and is on track to receive her fellowship degree in Infectious Diseases in June 2023.
Ambreen Malik strives to balance her professional life with family life and likes to spend most of her free time with her three beautiful kids by engaging them in extra-curricular activities and outdoor sports. She always recognizes the hard work her husband has put during her successful journey, while also being a great helping hand in raising the children. Due to her humble nature and kind personality, people enjoy working with her.
