John Michael S. Sanchez, MD, PhD, is an internal medicine resident physician (PGY-1) at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He received his medical degree and PhD in microbiology & immunology through the MD-PhD program at the University of Utah. Dr. Sanchez's clinical interests include infectious diseases in immunocompromised patients and infectious diseases in underserved populations. His research interests focus on host-microbe interactions and the microbiome. His work has been supported by the National Institutes of Health and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. Dr. Sanchez's work has also received awards from the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, the American Academy of Neurology, iBiology, and the American Association of Immunologists, .
