Raquel Giacomelli Cao, MD PhD, Pediatric Infectious Disease Fellow at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
I graduated medical school in the south of Brazil and obtained my PhD soon afterwards with the project entitled "Differences in antibody responses between TIV and LAIV correlate with the kinetics and magnitude of interferon signaling in children". I then moved to the United States to pursue my career as a pediatrician, completing residency in pediatrics at Marshall University in Huntington, WV, and currently I am a fellow in infectious disease at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH. My research interest include the relationship between the infants' immune response and respiratory viruses.
