Dr. Avnika B. Amin, PhD, MSPH is a vaccine epidemiologist and current post-doctoral fellow at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health. She has worked across the full spectrum of vaccine development, evaluation, and implementation. Dr. Amin's work has included the epidemiology of and surveillance for vaccine-preventable pathogens like rotaviruses and SARS-CoV-2, clinical trials of influenza and rotavirus vaccines, and interventions to improve vaccine uptake and acceptace. Her current research examines the interconnectedness of infectious disease dynamics, temporal changes in population characteristics, and resultant epidemiologic biases to address methodologic challenges for vaccine trials and post-licensure evaluations.
