Amanda Graves, MPH is a clinical research coordinator in the Duke Center for Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infection Prevention (DCASIP) and its laboratory: the Disinfection, Resistance and Transmission Epidemiology (DiRTE) lab. Her research and career goals are focused on reducing healthcare associated infections and gaining a better understanding of the healthcare environment's role in transmission epidemiology. To date, her research has focused on investigating the transmission of pathogens in a clinical setting with an ultimate goal of preventing healthcare-associated infections and applying novel sampling and species identification strategies for said pathogens. Although new in her career, she has been involved in research through several important collaborative and multicenter studies.
