Katrina Hofstetter, PhD is a Postdoctoral Research fellow in the Read Lab at Emory University. She completed her graduate studies at Texas A&M University where she worked on E. coli genetics and motility. Current projects, in collaboration with Dr. Michael David, MD, PhD (Unviersity of Pennsylvania), aim to understand the genetic components of S. aureus infection, recurrence, and host colonization of multiple body sites using the large-scale genome-based study, SEMAPHORE (Study of the Evolution of MRSA, Antibiotics and Persistence Having the Outcome of Recurrence),.
