Stefan works at the Division of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine and the Department for Microbiology at University Hospital Heidelberg where he combines clinical duties with research work on Tuberculosis. Stefan studied medicine at the Johannes Gutenberg-University Hospital Mainz with internships in Bihar, India and Luzern, Switzerland.
