Dr. Stephanie Egge (nee Cimini) completed her Adult Infectious Diseases Clinical Fellowship (Immunocompromised Host Focus) at the University of Texas Houston MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2021. She has been certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine since September 2020. She has a particular interest in Gram-negative antimicrobial resistance as it pertains to the chronically ill and immunocomrpomised host. She is currently completing a T32 Post-doctoral Research Fellowship (Texas Medical Center Training Program in Antimicrobial Resistance (TPAMR) (NIAID), T32 AI141349) under the primary mentorship of Dr. William R. Miller as well as co-mentors Drs. Dimitrios Kontonyiannis, Barbara Trautner, and Cesar A. Arias. Long-term, she plans to work as a physician scientist focusing on the translation of resistance mechanism understanding to clinical practice adaptations.
