I was born in Cali, Colombia and moved to Atlanta, GA at the age of 9. I completed my bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences in 2012 at Georgia State University. I attended the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. After that, I moved to Birmingham, AL, for my internal medicine residency at UAB and am also completing my infectious diseases fellowship at UAB. I am interested in health disparities, tropical medicine, and global health. I am starting to work with our clinic on creating resources to educate our patients on the prevention and management of Monkeypox infection.
