I am Yunsang Choi, a fellow in the Department of Infectious Diseases at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital in Korea.
As an infectious disease physician, I am most interested in the antibiotic stewardship program (ASP), and I submitted an abstract of a study in progress in this regard to IDWEEK.
I am currently enrolled in a doctoral program in the Department of Clinical Medicine, developing therapeutic drug monitoring to prevent colistin-induced nephrotoxicity in multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacterial infections, and exploring organ-on-chip models of nephrotoxicity and predictive biomarker nephrotoxicity.
In the future, along with research on the treatment of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, we plan to try several studies to establish active ASP activities in South Korea.
