My name is Lauren Ogawa, DO, MSPH and I recently completed an adult general infectious diseases fellowship at Tulane University in June 2022. I am currently the transplant infectious diseases fellow at UCLA. I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area and also did my undergraduate studies at UCLA. I earned a Masters in Public Health with emphasis in parasitology and tropical medicine from Tulane University. While pursing my medical degree at Touro University, I was actively involved in the global health program and spent time in Tanazania running a schistosomiasis clinic and in Taiwan learning about traditional Chinese medicine. I'm driven to address existing health disparities and to continue to promote change.
