Dr. Kwakwa currently serves as Director of HIV Clinical Services at the Division of Ambulatory Health Services, Philadelphia Department of Public Health. In this capacity she leads an HIV Program operating in 8 FQHC and FQHC lookalike facilities in the neighborhoods of Philadelphia. Her research interests include HIV in women, HIV in underserved populations and HIV in foregin-born populations in the US. She received her undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College, and her MD and MPH degrees fro Yale University. Her internship and residency were completed at the Miriam Hospital at Brown University.
