Jesús D. Rojas, Research Assistant at the U. S. Naval Medical Research Unit-6 (NAMRU-6) in Lima, Peru. Biologist, Master in Molecular Biology, Master in Microbiology.
I have been working at NAMRU-6 since 2011. I am focused on bacterial pathogens that infect humans, and mainly interested on Campylobacter jejuni and pathogens that cause diarrhea. I have experience in molecular characterization of bacterial pathogens, and vaccine development against bacterial pathogens tested in a non-human primate animal model, Aotus nancimaae.
Most recently I have been involved in antimicrobial resistance surveillance and genomic characterization of bacterial pathogens from nosocomial origin.
