Luca Tudor Giurgea, MD is a Senior Clinical Fellow in Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health. He was born in Romania and grew up in Canada, obtaining his Bachelors of Science from the University of Ottawa in 2010. He obtained his MD from SUNY Upstate Medical University 2014 and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He is in the process of completing a Masters degree in clinical research at Duke University through the NIH-Duke Clinical Research Training Program. Luca's research focus has been primarily on respiratory viruses, particularly influenza, and vaccines to address them.
