Leyla Farshidpour is a 4th-year medical student at UC Davis School of Medicine. Leyla has always been passionate about the environment and upon matriculating to medical school, has sought ways to improve sustainability in medicine. She partnered with the UC Davis sustainability director to draft the first-ever Sustainability Strategic plan for UC Davis Health, put together a course for all 3rd-year medical students exploring the intersection of human and environmental health, and continues to work on research projects with a sustainability component. Leyla hopes to continue working at the intersection of sustainability and healthcare during her residency and as an attending physician.
