Ganga Moorthy, MD, is a third-year pediatric infectious diseases and global health fellow at Duke University Medical Center and the Duke Hubert-Yeargan Center for Global Health Huber. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma and obtained her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She completed her pediatrics residency training at Duke where she also served as a chief resident. During fellowship, Ganga is pursuing a Master of Science in Global Health degree through the Duke Global Health Institute.
Her research interests are in global (and local) antimicrobial stewardship, improving diagnosis and treatment of febrile illness and sepsis, and health equity. She works with the Duke-Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre Collaboration and leads research on the epidemiology and antimicrobial resistance patterns of neonatal bloodstream infections in northern Tanzania.
