Dr. Shamim M. Ali, MD, MMed is a physician and lecturer at Moi University School of Medicine and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital. Her main interests include infectious diseases focusing on HIV medicine and HIV drug resistance. She completed the International AIDS Society funded Mark Wainberg HIV fellowship programme. She currently runs the HIV resistance clinic at AMPATH, Kenya and chairs the regional HIV technical working group where she reviews, consults and manage patients with complex HIV related conditions, including those on 3rd line antiretrovirals. She also teaches and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students in the school of medicine.
