Dr. Margaret Taylor MD, “Maggie,” is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Infectious Diseases at Baylor College of Medicine. She completed medical school, categorical pediatrics residency, and pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. Her research interests are in antimicrobial stewardship, penicillin allergy labels, and quality improvement. During her fellowship, she conducted a dual-center retrospective birth cohort study with colleagues at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to study penicillin allergy labeling in the pediatric outpatient setting. Recently, Dr. Taylor partnered with colleagues in the Division of Immunology, Allergy, and Retrovirology at Baylor College of Medicine to establish a penicillin allergy stewardship program at Texas Children’s Hospital. She will also collaborate with the Texas Children's Health Plan to conduct antimicrobial stewardship activities in the pediatric outpatient setting. In her spare time, Maggie enjoys playing board games, trying new Houston cuisines with her family and friends, and spending time with her dog, Cleo.
