Marci Drees, M.D., MS, DTMH, FACP, FIDSA, FSHEA is the Chief Infection Prevention Officer and hospital epidemiologist for ChristianaCare, a >1200-bed community-based academic healthcare system in northern Delaware. Dr. Drees graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, and her fellowship in Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine at Tufts Medical Center. She has also served as an Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Officer with CDC, stationed with the Delaware Division of Public Health, completed a diploma of tropical medicine and hygiene at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and earned a master’s degree in clinical research at the Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies, Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences at Tufts University. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.
