Seth Warner is a Post-Baccalaureate fellow in the Critical Care Medicine Department at the National Institutes of Health. He works in the lab of Dr. Jeffrey Strich in the Pathogenesis and Therapeutics Section investigating the roles of the innate immune system in the pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2, bacterial sepsis, and a variety of other diseases using live cell imaging, flow cytometry, animal models and a variety of ex-vivo assays. Specific research aims include studying NETosis, the role of spleen tyrosine kinase in severe illness, and emergency granulopoesis. He graduated Cum Laude from Carleton College with a B.A. in Biology and a minor in Biochemistry in the Fall of 2020. He plans to pursue a medical degree with a specific interest in global health.
