Dee Shortridge, Ph.D., Senior Director for Microbiology and Diagnostics at JMI Laboratories. In her current position Dr. Shortridge is responsible for overseeing new antibiotic development projects, surveillance projects, diagnostic device development and clinical trial studies.
Prior to her position at JMI Labs, Dr. Shortridge was Director of R&D Microbiology at bioMerieux, Inc. responsible for development of ID and AST products for VITEK2 Systems. Prior to bioMerieux, she was Sr. Group Leader for Clinical Microbiology at Abbott Laboratories working on clinical development of clarithromycin, cefdinir, cethromycin and delafloxacin.
Education
Dr. Shortridge completed her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver and completed a Clinical Postdoctoral Education Program fellowship at University of Washington in Seattle.
