I am Dr. Tara Ness (MD, MPH), a second year pediatric infectious diseases fellow at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Childrens Hospital. My long-term goal is to be a public health advocate for children and conduct novel research in the field of pediatric infectious disease in order to optimize our management of childhood infections. In particular, I am interested in addressing infectious diseases that afflict underserved pediatric populations without adequate access to healthcare, both domestically and in the greater global community. My current research is in tropical diseases including tuberculosis, HIV, and parasites.
