Timothy Savage, MD, MPH, MSc is an Associate Epidemiologist in the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics in the Department of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and a pediatric infectious diseases attending physician and Associate Hospital Epidemiologist at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Savage's research focuses on two primary areas. The first is to evaluate the advance the qualty and rigor of non-randomized pharmacoepidemiology studies of medication safety and effectiveness in children through the use of advanced epidemiologic methods. The second is use large databases to characterize antibiotic utilization and the comparative safety and effectiveness of antibiotics for the treatment of frequently encountered outpatient infections in children.
