Alisa Hamilton is a Senior Research Analyst at the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics & Policy (CDDEP), a member of the CDC Modeling Infectious Diseases in Healthcare Network (MInD). Alisa holds a BS in Anthropology from Bates College, an MA in Art Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths, University of London, and an MS in Global Mental Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Prior to joining CDDEP, she worked as a Knowledge Exchange Advisor with the World Health Organization on a project highlighting innovations and adaptations in mental health service delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, she worked in Senegal in international development and later as an art therapist in pediatric oncology. At CDDEP, her research has focused on COVID-19, antimicrobial resistance, malaria, HIV, and mental health. Alisa is passionate about using computational methods to improve health equity with particular interest in modeling the psychosocial and socioeconomic impacts of infectious disease epidemics.
