Dr Lucy Witt is a third-year infectious disease fellow at Emory University. Her research interests include healthcare associated infections with a focus on multidrug resistant Gram-negative bacteria. She is currently completing her Master of Science in Clinical Research studying carbapenem resistant Enterobacterales in Georgia. After completing fellowship, Lucy intends to pursue a career in hospital epidemiology, antimicrobial resistance, and medical education. In her spare time she enjoys drinking coffee, cooking vegetarian dishes for her meat-eating husband and children, and watching UNC basketball.
