Rebecca Stern, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) and serves as the Chief Hospital Epidemiologist at Williamson Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate training in Medical Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned her medical degree at the University of Wisconsin (UW) School of Medicine and Public Health and remained in Madison for internal medicine residency at UW Hospitals and Clinics. In 2020 she moved to Nashville for fellowship in Infectious Diseases at VUMC, serving as chief fellow in 2021-2022. Her clinical and research interests include infection prevention, COVID-19 epidemiology, and medical education.
