Alina Viteri is the current PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Resident at HSHS. St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. Dr. Viteri earned her PharmD from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in May 2021 and completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency also at St. John's Hospital. Alina's practice areas of interest, beyond infectious diseases, include critical care and academia. She is looking forward to further contributing to both didactic and experiential education of pharmacy students this year. For her PGY2 residency project, she will be completing the project started by our previous PGY2, Ryan Flynn, comparing vancomycin dosing using Area-Under-the-Curve monitoring to trough level monitoring on incidence of nephrotoxicity.
