Courtney Harris is a current third-year infectious disease fellow at the combined Harvard affiliated program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women’s Hospital, specializing in transplant infectious disease. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for undergraduate studies and the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed an internal medicine residency and chief residency year at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. As an educator, she actively participates in mentorship and is currently assisting in courses as a fellow at Harvard Medical School, and has previously led curriculum development in quality improvement, run one of the largest internal medicine programs social media accounts, and won awards as an educator during her residency training. As a leader, she has been involved in local, state, and national organized medicine with formative experiences as a Board of Trustee representative for the Minnesota Medical Association for four years and now serves as a representative on the national ACP Council of Resident and Fellow Members. She was recently recognized by her fellowship program for her clinical excellence with the Kass Award. She is currently working on clinical research projects in infections in heart and lung transplantation and medical education scholarship.
