Dr. Rachel Bartash, MD is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Bartash received her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2009 and completed her Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Michigan from 2009-2012. Following completion of her residency, Dr. Bartash was an Instructor in the Department of General Medicine at the University of Michigan and the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare system. She returned to Montefiore/Einstein in 2015 when she began her fellowship training in Infectious Diseases which she completed in 2017. Since that time she has been actively involved in the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program leadership at Montefiore, initially serving as the Assistant Program Director for the ID fellowship program from 2018-2020 followed by Associate Program Director from 2020-2022 before becooming Program Director in 2022. She is also a member of the Antimicrobial Stewardship committee at Montefiore where she focuses on stewardship for transplant and immunocompromised populations. She has been involved in numerous academic projects and peer-reviewed studies involving stewardship and the care of immunocompromised patients. Dr. Bartash has also served on several national committees focusing on medical education, including the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) Medical Education Community of Practice IDWeek Workgroup.
