Dr Saldivar is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine with the Division of Infectious Diseases at SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital. He completed his residency at New York University (NYU) in Manhattan in 2016, and his fellowship at Tufts Medical Ctr in Massachusetts in 2018. Since joining Stony Brook in 2019, he has been part of multiple hospital-wide infection control efforts including the hospital's COVID-19 incident-command system, PPE preservation, hand hygiene, and currently with the hospital's monkeypox committee. At the height of the pandemic, he also assisted with community outreach, including talks addressing vaccination hesitancy among both English and Spanish speaking communities in Long Island NY.
