Dr. Skarda attended the University of Minnesota medical school and went on to complete her internal medicine and pediatric residency at the same institution. Following residency she joined Ramsey Hospital which was subsequently acquired and became Regions Hospital where she has spent the last 25 years of practice. Dr. Skarda is a hospitalist at Regions but also works as an outpatient internist. She has enjoyed numerous administrative positions over the years including being Chief of Staff at Regions Hospital and in her current position as the Chair of Credentialing. She has also enjoyed many years in education and currently is the Associate Program Director for the University of Minnesota, Regions and HealthPartners sites. Dr. had the privilege of being the principal investigator for the Regions site for the VERU-111 Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials and will be presenting the data from the phase 3 trial.
