My name is Joseph Cherabie MD,MSc, and I am an Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Washington University St Louis. My primary areas of interest are HIV medicine, STIs, and LGBT health. I was born in Denver, Colorado but lived 12 years overseas in Beirut, Lebanon where I did my undergraduate as well as medical degree at the American University of Beirut. I then went on to do my Masters in Control of Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I did my residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita and completed my Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Washington University St. Louis.
Currently I am the Medical Director of the CDC Track 2B Capacity Building Assistance Program, the Associate Medical Director of the St. Louis STI/HIV Prevention Training Center, the Associate Medical Director of the St. Louis County Sexual Health Clinic, and the Director of the Washington University St. Louis PrEP Program.
