Dr. Dora Ho specializes in infectious diseases of immunocompromised patients, including those with hematopoietic cell transplant, solid organ transplant, cancers, and other forms of immunodeficiency. She did her PhD work in herpesvirus pathogenesis and postdoctoral research in CNS gene therapy with viral vectors at Stanford University. She further pursued training in Medicine and obtained her MD degree at Washington University, St Louis. She subsequently returned to the Bay Area and completed residency training at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center as well as fellowship training in Infectious Diseases at Stanford University School of Medicine. She joined the faculty of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Stanford in 2006. She is currently a Clinical Associate Professor and serves as the Associate Division Chief of Clinical Services. Her major interests are in viral and fungal infections among the immunocompromised hosts and in infection complications associated with immunomodulating therapies. She is playing active roles in panels of major national organizations, including IDSA and National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN).
