Dr. Yasaman Fatemi, MD, MSHP is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine and attending physician in Infectious Diseases at Seattle Children's Hospital. She is also an Associate Medical Director of Infection Prevention at Seattle Children's Hospital. Dr. Fatemi earned her medical degree at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. Dr. Fatemi completed her pediatrics residency at Mayo Clinic and her pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She earned her Master of Science in Health Policy Research (MSHP) with a focus on quality improvement and patient safety at the University of Pennsylvania. She was a 2020-2021 Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine (SIDM) Fellow in Diagnostic Excellence funded through the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. Dr. Fatemi is interested in using quality improvement methods and qualitative research to address questions in the field of diagnostic stewardship and diagnostic error. She also has a strong interest in graduate medical education and program development.v
