Monica Sikka, MD is an associate professor of medicine at Oregon Health & Science University and works at the VA Portland Healtcare system. She is currently a hospital epidemiologist and the medical director for OPAT. She attended the University of Tennessee College Of Medicine and then moved to Chicago for the rest of her medical training. She completed Internal Medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Infectious Diseases fellowship at Rush University Medical Center. She has special interests in the treatment of infections in patients with substance use disorder, bone and joint infections, and ways to reduce healthcare associated infections.
